I've done this with both PC-Dos 7.1 and MS Dos 6.22. The boot discs were a pain till I figured all this out. Now they should be easy to maintain. They have access both to the remainder of the CDRom access and to the network. I have a standard boot disk (floppy) that does most of the work and then calls C:\autorun.bat (C: is the CDRom after CD boot) that contains the details for the different configurations of the Gx270s that we use. This means I can always use the same boot.img file to make the disk bootable and I don't have to keep the bootable floppy around after the fact. Then I can simply change the content in the root of the CD to make adjustments to my ghosting method or image used.

Now, about your issue, I think there may be some aspect of your network that I am missing right now. Can I first ask what is inhibiting you from using the subnet that the servers are on, 10.10.1.0/24, during the ghosting process? The final result, the content stored in the image, does not need to be on the same subnet as the one used during casting... In otherwords, use the boot disk to attach to the 10.10.1.0/24 subnet during cloning and casting even though the 10.10.10.0/24 is used when the computer is up and running Windows (or whatever is in the image).

I am working on creating a Ghost image of Windows 10. I am using stand alone version of norton ghost 3.3 which is the latest one from norton. Along with WINPE10. My PC is configured to boot in UEFI only mode.. I am creating image in following way: in winpe mode -->disk --> to image --> source is O.S drive --> destination --> Usb --> create Image restoration is done in following way --> winpe mode --> disk --> from image --> src=usb --> DST=drive 1. Image gets restored successfully. When I boot the target machine I get a blue screen error saying "your PC needs to be repaired". I am not sure what is wrong in this procedure. Also both the source and target machine are identical machine.. I am stuck at this phase. Could someone please help me to resolve this..

The program I can count on for doing images of Linux OS is redo. Its totally free. It will also do many other OS images, including windows 8.1 etc.The only headache about it is the speed. Prepare to spend a lot of time doing the backup. Also unlike most backup programs, it makes a lot of small files in the location it backs up to. I also cannot yet figure out how to backup over to my LAN. Like Linux sine it boots up a flavor of it, you need to know how to get around in Linux from a terminal prompt. It has no option to skip bad sectors, and although you can force it past errors you would probably spend a lifetime getting past them on failing or nearly failing drive.

It refers to backing up your Windows, files, disk or partition to an image file. During the backup process, the backup source is compressed by the ghost image software. Once an accident happens to your computer such as system crash, Windows unable to boot after updates, drive failure, etc. you can only restore the image through the original software.
Live imaging of your computer makes sure that your disk images are kept up to date. The software also supports virtualization with Hyper-V. The user can boot backup images virtually with Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines. Being able to boot back up images with Hyper-V gives you more options when it comes to restoring your device. 2ff7e9595c
